2: Lock a PDF file
Click the OPEN button to open the PDF that you’re going to lock on Wondershare PDF Editor. And then click the Security tab to reveal the Password Encryption option. Click the lock on the very left side to enable the Password Security dialogue box.

Instructions:

2: On the top tool bar of Adobe Pro, go to Secure – Show Security Properties.
3. A pop up window titled ‘Document Properties’ will display with Security listed.
4. In the ‘Security Method’ drop down box select Password Security.
5. Immediately, a new pop up box will appear titled ‘Password Security – Settings’.
6. In the ‘Permissions’ section at the bottom of the page, click the box that says Restrict editing
and printing of the document.
7. Next, type a password used to secure the document. (Note: As long as you know this password,
you will be able to remove or change these security features at any time.)
8. If desired, you may also change the level of printing and changes allowed with the two drop
down boxes.
9. Once this is complete, click OK.
10. You then will be prompted to retype your password for confirmation. Do so and click OK.
11. Finally click OK on the ‘Document Properties’ window.
12. Save your PDF.
13. After saving, the Print icon should be grayed out.
